Bill Summary: To provide authorization for the New Mexico Department of Agriculture to adopt rules for research on industrial hemp; providing for the establishment of the New Mexico industrial hemp research and development fund. 

SJM 4 Pollinator-friendly plant labeling project, 

Bill Summary: Developed collaboratively with the Wild Friends Project at UNM Law – a children’s civic engagement program. This is a cool youth-directed and supported project. The Wild Friends Program is an award-winning civics education program at the UNM School of Law, providing hands-on learning to students in grades 4-12 across New Mexico. In this unique program, students help draft legislation on a wildlife conservation issue and work to pass it in the New Mexico State Legislature.
