Dear New Mexico Activists:

Whew! The 2023 Session is over. We’re sending this brief note to say that we are preparing an Alert that will highlight the wins and losses of this Session. There is reason to celebrate, but also reason to discuss and contemplate why so many good bills didn’t make it through.

It’s been a tough last week for us — a close friend died on Tuesday and we are brokenhearted over the loss. Then Paul became sick with a bad cold and strep throat a few days ago. We’ll make it through, of course, but those setbacks did keep us from communicating as much as we would have liked to this week.

So, look for a wrap-up from us early next week. And please join us on Weds., March 22, 6 – 7:30 p.m. for a Legislative Debrief and our last Huddle of the session.
