We start with some comic relief including the best skewer of Trump ever. Also, details on a Naomi Klein, Greta Thunberg livestream Monday & full video tapes of Warren, Yang, Sanders, Biden and Booker on the CNN Climate crisis.
This was supposed to be all fun and games today, a respite. But I found most of the full top challengers CNN climate town hall discussions on YouTube and thought I should share that as well. But we still inject a bit of levity before diving in. We also a link to the livestream with Naomi Klein, Greta Thunberg and an array of young indigenous activists from Canada, US and the Amazon that will occur on Monday at 5pm MT.
NM Says No To Trump’s Visit to Rio Rancho
Click here to obtain two free tickets for the Trump rally on Monday, September 16. Get two tickets and ask all your friends to do the same. Maybe we can sell the place out with a ton of people who will be outside waving signs in protest. Plans are forming for how to also mount a large protest outside the venue. I think all Retake folks should plan to go to this. We want an enormous turnout protesting this maniacal menace. So gather friends, make signs at home and plan to fill your car with friends and family.

Monday, September 9 at 5pm MT. Naomi Klein, Greta Thunberg, Xiuhtezcatl Martinez, Xiye Bastida, and Vic Barrett, as well as Amazon Indigenous leader Tuntiak Katan. A livestream discussion.
THE INTERCEPT INVITES you to watch a special event in New York City hosted by Intercept senior correspondent Naomi Klein, author of the forthcoming book “On Fire: The (Burning) Case for a Green New Deal,” and headlined by trailblazing climate activist Greta Thunberg, author of “No One Is Too Small to Make a Difference.” Together with youth leaders Xiuhtezcatl Martinez, Xiye Bastida, and Vic Barrett, as well as Indigenous Amazon leader Tuntiak Katan, Thunberg and Klein will help us envision a just and sustainable future, confront our climate emergency, and discuss the emerging cross-generational, transnational movement — including people of all races, classes, and backgrounds — that is our best hope for a sustainable planet. Click here to get to the Intercept page with a link to the livestream.
While the videos below from the CNN climate crisis town hall provide a glimmer of hope, as all but one candidate proposed about the strongest climate action plans we’ve heard from Washington, I am guessing we will be far more inspired by this stream.
This Is Just Flat Out Hilarious
Not only is this funny, the guy on the right (Randy Rainbow) must be a professional singer. You need to watch this one.
Colbert Is Back!
After two weeks off, he’s back and hilarious as always. “Nuking a hurricane is like creating Chernobyl on jet skis.”
The Climate Crisis Town Hall
To my mind, this event was the most relevant discussion involving Democratic Party leadership on the climate crisis in years, perhaps ever. Candidates were able to lay out their plans without interruption and at length. I would love to see this repeated for healthcare, immigration, foreign policy and any number of other topics of importance to the American people.
I recommend the Biden video for anyone out there who supports him or is on the fence. As you watch, imagine what Trump would do to him in a debate. It should frighten you. I am not as concerned about his endless gaffes as I am of his inability to frame a cogent thought. In the video he repeatedly starts a sentence, shifts direction, never completes the first thought and then does this over and over.
Other video worth your time are certainly Bernie and Elizabeth Warren. I thought he was the winner Wednesday night with Elizabeth Warren also acquitting herself very well. Andrew Yang is also worth reviewing as he brings a very different perspective. We also include Kamala Harris and Cory Booker.
You are not likely to spend 3 hours watching all five, so save the post and come back to it another day.
If you haven’t time to review all those presented below, click here to read yesterday’s blog as it includes an excellent analysis of the town hall with commentary on each candidate by William Rivers Pitt from Truthout.

Joe Biden’s Total Meltdown on Climate Crisis on CNN
Joe Biden’s YouTube link can’t be embedded which allows for the image you see on the other videos offered today, so I can only offer the link to the full video. This will work, but you don’t get the color image as with the others. Click here to view Biden on the climate crisis.

We are not amused. Every day read like a litany of evil, and even Randy Rainbow barely gets a chuckle out of me anymore.
