Climate Solutions, Health Security, Public Banking, Food-Hunger-Farm Act

We have a few changes in hearings for you – HB 207 Food, Hunger & Farm Act was removed from today’s House Ag & Water Resources agenda, likely to be heard on Thursday, though we’re still trying to confirm that. And HB 203 Health Security Planning & Design Board Act was moved to Wednesday. Keep reading for more information and a few reminders.

Weds., Feb. 17, 8:00 a.m. House State Govt., Elections & Indian Affairs: HB 9 Climate Solutions Act. We don’t have a full summary for you, but HB 9 would create a state Climate Leadership Council with a diverse membership from across departments, tribes, local govts., impacted communities, and more. The Council would create a statewide framework for addressing climate change and developing sustainable economy, establishing statewide greenhouse gas emissions reduction requirements, directing state agencies to adopt rules to achieve statewide greenhouse gas emissions reductions and foster inclusion in workforce development and procurement related to climate solutions.
